Person struck, killed by trolley in Mission Hills

A person was struck and killed Friday by a trolley in the Mission Hills neighborhood, San Diego police said.
The crash was reported just after 1 p.m. on the tracks near Noell and Hancock streets, just west of Interstate 5, Officer Darius Jamsetjee said.
The person who was struck died at the scene, Jamsetjee said. He did not have further information about the person, include age or gender.
UC San Diego and Green Line Trolley traffic was delayed following the crash. The Metropolitan Transit Service, which runs the trolleys, tweeted just after 3:40 p.m. that normal operations had resumed, but warned riders to expect delays.
