SAN ANTONIO - It’s Friday, which means it’s time to get a jump on those weekend plans! Don’t have any? We’ve got you covered with some fun and exciting events happening around town.

Calling all car enthusiasts! Saturday is the second Alamo City LX Mopar Car Show of the year. It’s greater San Antonio’s oldest and largest Modern Mopar Enthusiasts Club for the Dodge Charger, Challenger, Magnum, and Chrysler 300. It’s all going down Saturday at the base of the Tower of the Americas. It runs from 6 - 10 p.m. -- and it’s absolutely free. The Alamo City LW Mopar Car Show happens every month at the tower. You can find a list of dates here.

Not into cars? How about hopscotching your way downtown to Hopscotch? It’s an immersive art experience that brings together artists in collaborative environments, creating unique, and sometimes impactful experiences. You will experience 15 distinctive immersive and interactive art installations from over 40 local, national and international artists. Admission is $24 for adults, with discounts for students, children, and seniors. You can check availability, and purchase your tickets here.

Maybe you’re more into the classical arts. If that’s the case, this Sunday is Musical Bridges Around the World; East Meets West Unityfest 2023. The local music and arts non-profit is celebrating its 25th year jubilee this weekend. Unityfest celebrates the international flavors of San Antonio, bringing together artists all the way from France, Russia, and South Korea, as well as world-class local talent. Musical Bridges Around the World was started 25 years ago by Russian emigrant and pianist Anya Grahovsky, and has grown to include kids concerts in Title One schools throughout San Antonio. It’s all happening at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, February 5th at 2 p.m. - and it’s free! Click here to get your free voucher.

If you’re someone who’s 'Gotta Catch ‘Em All,' then maybe Pokémon Community Days at the San Antonio Zoo is for you. It’s this Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This Community Day Classic features “Noibat”, the sound wave pokémon. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a shiny one! The event is included with standard admission and free for zoo members. The zoo will also be handing out exclusive zoo collectible cards at Outpost Amazonia. Card will be available to the first 200 Pokémon Go players to show proof of catching 10 Noibat after 2 p.m. For more information, head to the San Antonio Zoo’s website.
