ACCORDING TO THE NEWEST FIRE POTENTIAL OUTLOOK, LA NINA, CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE DOMINANT INFLUENCE THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY. LENNY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DRIER AND HOTTER THAN AVERAGE CONDITIONS IN THE WINTER ACROSS THE SUNSHINE STATE. THE CLIMATE PREDICTION CENTER IS FORECASTING AN 82% CHANCE OF LA NINA TO WEAKEN THROUGH MARCH. MOST OF FLORIDA IS NOW UNDER ABNORMAL DROUGHT CONDITIONS FOR EARLY FEBRUARY, WHILE THE PANHANDLE IS ALREADY EXPIRING AND SEEING A SEVERE DROUGHT.
