Oklahoma City police are looking to identify a man who they said was part of a scam to get money from an elderly victim.

Police said a woman received a call saying her grandson was in trouble and needed $12,000. The woman went to her bank and got the money.

When the suspect showed up to collect the money, police said the woman's daughter and caretaker were at the house.

"Thankfully, they got video of the suspect and prevented him from getting away with $12,000 because they heard about it and got suspicious of the whole situation," Oklahoma City police wrote on Facebook. "When they pulled out a phone, the suspect quickly fled."

Police said he was seen getting into a dark-colored GMC Yukon or Chevy Tahoe type of car.

"Let's catch this individual before he's able to con someone else!" Oklahoma City police said on Facebook.
