NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a suspect accused of stabbing a man in broad daylight just blocks from Times Square on New Year’s Eve, authorities said Friday.
At approximately 11 a.m., a 41-year-old man was engaged in a physical altercation with the suspect in front of 556 7th Ave. in the Garment District.
During the altercation, the suspect displayed a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times, officials said.
The suspect fled the location southbound into the subway system, cops said.
EMS transported the man victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue in serious but stable condition.
A knife was recovered on scene, the NYPD said.
