San Antonio Police Officer arrested for driving intoxicated Thursday, police say

SAN ANTONIO — An off-duty San Antonio Police Officer was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, Gabriel Flores was arrested near the 1500 block of IH 10 West around midnight Thursday.

Police say that officers conducted a traffic stop on Flores' vehicle due to speeding and once they pulled him over, they found indications of intoxication.

Officer Flores was assigned to Prue Patrol and has been employed with the San Antonio Police Department for less than 2 years.

Police say that he will be temporarily suspended without pay. The San Antonio Police Department is conducting both criminal and administrative investigations into this incident.
