Investigators say Bannaga robbed the Capital One Bank in Frederick, Maryland.
It was the second time he had robbed a bank, investigators say. Bannaga was convicted of a similar crime in Virginia, records show.
According to the US Marshals Service, Bannaga was sentenced to five years in prison and another five years post-supervised release for the Frederick, Maryland bank robbery.
But, officials say, Bannaga violated his probation by fleeing Maryland and is further accused of committing other crimes in Arkansas and California.
