Framingham Welcomes New Officers, Announces Promotions

Framingham police also gave their most veteran officer a special honor during the recent ceremony.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Five new officers were sworn into the Framingham police force during a Thursday ceremony.

In addition to the new officers, the department also promoted several key figures to bigger roles.

The department welcomed Officer Jared Vitale, Officer Morgan Whiton, Officer Victor Souza, Officer Connor MacLeod, and Officer Paul Curtin who transferred from the State Police.

Christopher Eliadi was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant while Ryan Porter and Christopher Pisano were promoted to the rank of Sergeant, officials said.

And, in a special moment, Officer Kathy McGrath was given the honor of wearing badge number one, which distinguishes McGrath as the department's most senior member. She was pinned by her son, Officer Timothy Tierney.
