It is still chilly outside and summer is still a few months away, but no doubt there are plenty of folks in Pennsylvania already dreaming of taking that summer vacation.

But, heck, why not go ahead and make that plural?

Vacations.

If that sounds dreamy, Frontier Airlines might have a deal that could make that goal a little more affordable. Because the carrier, which flies out of Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, recently announced that it is slashing the cost of its GoWild! Summer Pass from $999 to $399.

What does that mean?

Well, for $399 you can spend most of the summer flying all over the country … and even outside of the country.

There are a few catches, though.

The summer pass will run from May 2-Sept. 30 this year, but there are a few blackout days in there. Those are May 25, 26, 29; June 29, 30; July 1-5, 8, 9: August 31 and September 1, 4.

Also, you have to be willing to roll the dice a little bit with booking your flight out of town. For domestic flights, you will have to wait until the day before you plan to leave to book your flight. For international flights you have to book within 10 days of the planned flight. You have to book your return flights in the same fashion.

So, that can get a little tricky, but if you think you can make it work, it could make for an interesting summer.

Frontier reportedly flies internationally to locations such as Cancun, the Bahamas, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico.
