A murder suspect out of Florida has been arrested in North Carolina after a multi-county chase, according to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office.Authorities say the suspect, 35-year-old Matthew Scott Flores, was wanted in both North Carolina and Florida for multiple felonies. The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office said Flores was involved in a chase in Ellenboro. Authorities said when the chase ended, Flores ran before being taken into custody. While Flores has been arrested, and the investigation is still active. As the investigation continues, we will focus on and identify those who aided or assisted Flores to ensure they are charged appropriately for their role in Flores’ flight from law enforcement."Wauchula Police Department said Friday morning they were headed to North Carolina to speak to Flores.
