Bitterly cold winds will move through Greater Cincinnati this weekend, bringing low wind chill values before an eventual warmup.

According to the National Weather Service, a cold front brought cold air into the region arriving Thursday night. It will persist through Friday and into Saturday morning. Warmer temperatures will arrive later Saturday and into Sunday morning.

The wind chill values have reached single digits in some areas and will continue to drop this morning, according to the weather service, which advises people to bundle up against the cold.

As the cold front moves through Cincinnati Friday, another part of the U.S. is bracing for extremely cold temperatures.

An Arctic blast is set to sweep into the Northeast this weekend, bringing dangerously cold temperatures and high winds. It could bring record-shattering temperatures to cities in the region including Boston, where the wind chill could feel as low as 40 below zero.
