FRIDAY = DRY DAY

Clouds will rule this morning with wake-up 40s. It will be warmer than yesterday with high in the lower 50s at the coast and mid-upper 60s inland. You’ll see some breaks in the clouds midday and afternoon but it won’t clear out. Mostly will stay dry this evening, but a brief isolated shower is possible after 8 PM, so keep that slight chance in mind if you’re out on the town. Rain will turn steadier and more widespread late tonight and especially Saturday morning.

RAINY START TO THE WEEKEND

A cold front will pass over the area Saturday morning with a period of rain. The 0.25″-0.5″ isn’t enough to renew flooding concerns, but will make for soggy conditions before 2 PM. Partial sun may develop in the afternoon with highs in the 60s. I can’t rule out a pop up shower somewhere in southern New England late afternoon or evening, but coverage will be small if so.

SUNDAY PICK!

Sunshine will drive the forecast Sunday through Tuesday. The only downside: increasing pollen levels (tree pollen).
