A Las Cruces man was arrested and accused of assaulting and pointing a firearm at his ex-girlfriend.

Officers arrested 20-year-old Jairo Luna on Wednesday.

Officers were called out to the 3200 block of E University Avenue on a call of a person with a gun.

When officers arrived at the scene they met with two women who said Luna pointed a rifle and they thought they would get shot.

After the two women were threatened a third woman identified as Serenity Jacobs-Locklear who is Luna's ex-girlfriend was threatened by Luna.

Jacobs-Locklear was forced into the apartment and was not allowed to leave, according to the affidavit.

One of the other two women called 911.

Luna and Jacobs-Locklear dated for two years but ended their relationship in December 2022.

The two women had driven Jacobs-Locklear to Luna's apartment so she can gather her belongings which she said were by the front door.
