The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was found shot to death in Westwego Thursday morning. According to JPSO, around 7:30 a.m. deputies were called to a resident in the 700 block of Goldie Lane. When officers arrived they found a man with gunshot wounds and a woman who claimed to police that she was the shooter. The victim was pronounced dead on scene and the woman was arrested and faces a manslaughter charge. She was booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center. The victim's identity has not been released. The suspect's identity will be released by police at a later time.
