Des Moines, IA (Radio Iowa)– A local casino has been fined for violating self-ban regulations.
Racing and Gaming Administrator Brian Ohorilko says Wild Rose Casino in Emmetsburg did not upload a new list of those who banned themselves from gambling during the required grace period.
Ohorilko says in this case the history of the facility was applied when considering what kind of action to take.
The commissioners agreed on the minimum five-thousand dollar fine for Wild Rose. The maximum amount a casino can be fined for such a violation is 20-thousand dollars.
