A Mississippi man has been arrested and has been extradited to Pinellas County in connection with a 1987 murder in St. Petersburg.
Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says Michael Lapniewski, Jr. was linked to the killing of 82-year-old Opal Weil through DNA and genealogical evidence.
Detectives arrested Lapniewski in Waveland, Mississippi on January 26th. He's now charged with first-degree murder.
