The Santa Fe New Mexican announced its publisher is retiring after more than a decade at the newspaper. Publisher Tom Cross broke the news alongside owner Robin Martin during meetings at the paper’s printing plant and newsroom, the New Mexican reported Wednesday. Martin unveiled that Patrick Dorsey, 54, would become the new publisher of the paper following a career as a publisher in Florida and, most recently, for the Austin American-Statesman. Cross, 67, came to the paper in 2012 as its controller and has headed the operations since 2014, the paper reported. Cross will remain at the New Mexican into the fall.
