For about two hours Wednesday, customers and Target employees reclaimed the belongings they left behind when police shot and killed a man wielding an AR-15-style rifle Tuesday.
People walked out of the store with cell phones, bags, and keys to their cars Wednesday. Omaha Police allowed people to take their cars home after an investigation outside.
"The first shot happened when I was in the middle of my second order, and I just dropped and ran," said Shawn Neuman, who was delivering items inside Tuesday.

Former Target associate Jesse Wiese says Tuesday was his last day on the job. He was in the laundry detergent area when he saw panic. He says he couldn't hear anything because he didn't have his hearing aids.
"He says he's OK," Jesse's fiance said, interpreting sign language for reporters. "Not as bad as yesterday. But he hopes that people like his friends and workers that they feel OK and are safe at home as well. And he hopes that they feel better, too."
