Fugitive Accused In Double Shooting Found In Hartford: Feds

Federal authorities said the man shot his ex-girlfriend, as well as her son, permanently disabling him.

HARTFORD, CT — Federal authorities Friday nabbed a potentially dangerous fugitive in Hartford alleged to have shot his ex-girlfriend and her son multiple times just before Christmas late last month.

The Connecticut U.S. Marshal Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Hartford Police Department announced Friday law enforcers had apprehended Issac Ramos-Perez, who was found living in Hartford.

According to the U.S. Marshals Office Friday, Ramos-Perez visited his former girlfriend at her residence in Pennsylvania and shot her and her son multiple times last Dec. 23, two days before Christmas.

Authorities said the shooting left the son paralyzed with permanent facial injuries.

It is also alleged Ramos-Perez contacted friends and family members of the victims and threatened to “finish the job” and kill anyone attempting to help the victims, according to federal officials.

Friday, the Connecticut U.S. Marshal Violent Fugitive Task Force and Hartford Police Department apprehended Ramos-Perez in a "makeshift apartment located in the industrial area of 32-25 Meadow St. in Hartford."

Ramos-Perez was transported to the Hartford Police Department and charged as a fugitive from justice.

Ramos-Perez will be awaiting extradition back to York City, Pennsylvania to face the following charges : two counts of attempted homicide; two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm; felon in possession of a firearm; and terroristic threats.
