A driver was killed in a head-on crash that involved a tractor-trailer truck, according to Master Trooper James Miller with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.Miller says that the crash happened on Thursday a little after 3:45 p.m. on U.S. Highway 221 near Studebaker Road.According to Miller, the driver was headed south on U.S. 221 in a 2003 Ford F250 when it hit a tractor-trailer truck traveling north on U.S. 221 head-on.The driver of the Ford truck was the only occupant of the vehicle and was killed in the collision, Miller says.The driver of the tractor-trailer truck was not hurt in the collision, according to Miller. Miller says that this is still an active investigation by the SCHP.
