WISCONSIN — Two Wisconsin pizza places might just be the crustodians of the perfect pizza, according to Yelp’s top pizza spots list.

The popular crowd-sourced review website named two Wisconsin spots in their list of the top 100 pizza spots in the U.S. and Canada.

Coming in at 46 is Santino’s Little Italy in Milwaukee. It has over 280 reviews and a 4.5/5 star rating on Yelp. Using Caputo 00 flour, Grande mozzarella and San Marzano tomatoes, Santino’s makes traditional Neopolitan pizza that “will leave your taste buds watering.”

From the Paisano, made with pesto sauce and spicy Italian sausage, to the Agrigento, made with garlic sauce, there’s something for every pizza lover.

Madison-based Novanta also made the list, rounding out the 83rd spot. With over 320 reviews and a 4.5/5 rating, Novanta has been making authentic Neopolitan pizza since 2013. Their dough is “rested” for 48 hours before it’s shaped and baked at 900 degrees.

If you’re in the mood for some water buffalo milk mozzarella, they’ve got a pizza for that. Want anchovies? They’ve got you covered. Marsala cream? Covered.

Yelp put together their all-time list by looking at businesses in the pizza category and then factoring in the total volume and ratings of reviews.

At No. 1 on the list is a place in Pasadena, Calif. known as Sapori Di 786 Degrees. They make internationally inspired Neopolitan pizzas with ingredients that make those cultures unique.

It’s followed by Ciao! Pizza & Pasta in Chelsea, Mass. at second and Zeneli Pizzeria & Cucina Napoletana in New Haven, Conn. at third.

Several other Midwest states also made the list. Zazas Pizzeria and Milly’s Pizza in the Pan in Chicago, Il Rione and In Forno Pizza in Ohio, Mama’s Pizza in Minnesota, Patellie’s in Michigan and much more. You can see Yelp's full list here.

If there’s one thing we take away from this list, it’s that this pizza cannot be topped. Now, we knead to get out and try them.
