Hartford Police To Conduct Drunk Driving Checkpoint

Officers will be stationed in the city starting at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26.

HARTFORD, CT — The Hartford Police Department has announced it will conduct a drunk driving checkpoint in the city starting this evening through early Friday morning.

According to the HPD, the department's traffic division will conduct the "operating under the influence" checkpoint near 175 New Britain Ave. from 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, to 1 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27.

Police said this is part of the HPD's ongoing enforcement campaign targeting drunk/impaired driving.

It is being funded via a grant from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation OUI Enforcement Program.
