The New York Giants lost a laundry list full of players to injury against the Chicago Bears in Week 4. Despite the win, the team will likely be short-staffed heading to London to face off against the Green Bay Packers in Week 5, a much more competitive contest.

There is hope that quarterback Daniel Jones will be active and start against Green Bay, despite suffering a minor ankle sprain that has limited him in practice this week.

There is growing hope that the Giants could get back three impact players that could change the course of the game in London, but it is a big “IF.”

New York Giants could get back three big players for Week 5:

Leonard Williams:

If there’s any player that is capable of returning from injury and dealing with pain, it is Leonard Williams. Williams had never missed a game in his career due to injury before missing the last two. He played in 82% of snaps against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1 and 59% after the injury against the Carolina Panthers.

His qualities are obvious, providing stellar pass rush and run support. If Williams is healthy enough to suit up, I expect him to wear a brace on his knee that will likely protect him from reaggravated the injury.

Williams was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, so we will have to see how he fares on Thursday before the team travels to London in the evening.

Kadarius Toney:

Giants fans are quickly losing faith that Kadarius Toney can remain healthy for any amount of time. The former first-round pick has been dealing with a hamstring injury for weeks now, barely managing to practice.

As we’ve seen, the coaching staff prefers to game plan around healthy players, so even if Toney is activated, I wouldn’t expect him to have a big part in the offensive strategy. However, he did practice on a limited fashion Wednesday, so there is hope he may be able to get involved in some way.

Wan’Dale Robinson:

Rookie receiver Wan’Dale Robinson suffered an MCL sprain during Week 1 against the Titans, working his way back over the past three weeks. The expectation is that Robinson will play an integral role once he returns, especially after Sterling Shepard suffered a torn ACL against the Dallas Cowboys.

Robinson had been moving well earlier this week during practice, increasing his odds of making an appearance. With the receiver core thin at the moment, they desperately need him on the field against Green Bay.
