The Orange County Arts Commission presents the 6th annual Paint It Orange Plein Air Paint Out and wet paint sale from October 5 through October 7. Artists are invited to capture landscapes around Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, and Carrboro. Artists will then be invited to submit up to 3 of their favorite paintings for jurying Friday night at Eno Arts Mill Gallery. For more information about Paint It Orange, click here.

Come out Friday night for some bingo to benefit local radio WHUP. Many local businesses have donated some amazing prizes and there will be a silent cake auction you won’t want to miss! Drink and snacks will be available for purchase. Click here to reserve your tickets.

Orange County Master Gardeners will be holding a PlantFest! It will feature a plant sale, children’s activities, gardening exhibits, food trucks, and more! There will be fun for the whole family. Festifall is back! Come downtown and celebrate the diverse talent our community has to offer. Don’t miss the action as the Tar Heels take on Miami looking for their 5th win of the season. Tune into our coverage starting a 1:00 with Inside Carolina, followed by the Tar Heel Sports Network Pre-Game Show. Kickoff is at 4:00 and we’ll have you covered with live coverage. Come out to the first ever EV Rodeo at the Carrboro Town Commons, co-sponsored by Climate Reality Orange County and Triangle Electric Vehicle Association. The public are invited to view different electric vehicles, the owners will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about each car model. The Chapel Hill-Carrboro NAACP is celebrating their 75th year with several fun events! This Saturday will be the Umoja Reading. This will celebrate the cuisine, culture, and literature of the African Diaspora. This event will feature readings, songs, and spoken word by descendants of the African Diaspora. St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church is hosting A Taste of Greece this Saturday and Sunday. Authentic, fantastic greek food will be available for on-site eating or for take-out. There’s another chance to hear some live music this weekend. The On The Green music festival will be held at the Southern Village Green this Sunday featuring local Chapel Hill artists. Admission is free, but donations to the artists are encouraged. Grab your lawn chair and enjoy music from The Gone Ghosts, Heat Preacher, The Yardarm, Georgia Moon, and Country Cruel! Celebrate 10 years of Empty Bowls with TABLE at the Carrboro Town Commons. Bring some friends and enjoy soup, bread, and cookies while enjoying some excellent live music!
