These Georgia Cities Ranked among Most Impacted during Great Resignation

A new report by Workamajig revealed that in the past year, there has been a 33% increase in people voluntarily leaving their jobs as part of "The Great Resignation.”

Athens-Clarke County and Atlanta, Sandy Springs, and Roswell have been revealed as the #9 and #12 most impacted metros by this national employment trend.

Athens-Clarke County had an employment change of 6.5%, while Atlanta, Sandry Srpings, and Roswell had a change of 6.1% between May 2021 -  May 2022, with resignation reasons ranging from compensation, benefits, and remote work to company culture, work-life balance, and lack of childcare. With this trend, it's possible that we may see an increase in entrepreneurship, contractor-based work, and freelancing in the area as people become less reliant on traditional employment arrangements.

The report also outlined the top U.S. cities most & least impacted by the Great Resignation trend (maps below) and which generations and industries have been most affected across the country.
