One of the most important things is: Don't block the road.

There are a lot of people with piles of stuff out right now, and because of the flooding, a lot of the debris is from inside the house.

Orange County says the contractors will be making multiple passes to get everything, but they're going to start with things like logs and branches, then move on to demolition debris.

The county also gave some guidelines for what you should do:

  • Put your debris on the curb
  • Separate the tree limbs and logs from demolition debris and electronics
  • Don't stack it all up against trees or poles
  • Don't block the street

There are a lot of neighborhoods to get to, so Orange County says this process is expected to last weeks.
