Five things to do in Sioux Falls this weekend, including live music and fall festivals

This weekend's events include an art and wine walk, another Oktoberfest celebration, rodeo finals, superhero day and The Judds' final stop in Sioux Falls.

Here are five events to watch for.

October Art & Wine Walk

Sipping wine and looking at art is on tap for the October Art & Wine Walk this weekend in Sioux Falls.

Each location hosts a local artist and is stocked with both red and white wine. A wine sampling punch card costs $25, while wine by the glass costs $5. Punch cards are available for purchase at any of the participating shops on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A list of participating businesses can be found on the Downtown Sioux Falls website.

Oktoberfest at Great Shots

Oktoberfest is scheduled at Great Shots this weekend.

Fall festivals are continuing this weekend as Great Shots is hosting its edition of Oktoberfest.

There will be food trucks, complimentary beer tastings, stein holding competitions, food eating competitions, costume contests and Hammerschlagen. There will also be German food and yard games, along with a flat-screen TV trailer streaming college football games throughout the event.

The event is scheduled for Saturday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., in Sioux Falls. Great Shots is located at 2505 W. Benson Rd.

Tickets for the event can be purchased on site or online at greatshots.golf/oktoberfest. Tickets are $20 for admittance and $45 for beer tasting, which includes entry to the festival.

SDRA Finals

It'll be a full weekend of rodeo at the W.H. Lyons Fairgrounds, as the South Dakota Rodeo Association Finals Rodeo swings through Sioux Falls.

On Friday and Saturday, the event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., followed by live music by The Barn Files on Friday, and Exit 357 on Saturday. On Sunday, the rodeo will open at 1 p.m.

There will also be a cowboy trade show and a high school extravaganza on Saturday.

General admission for the event is $10, while children under six will have free admission. A full list of events can be found on their Facebook page.

The Judds Final Tour

Wynona Judd and friends will bring the 11-city The Judds tour to Sioux Falls and the Denny Sanford Premier Center on Friday night.

The tour, in celebration of the life and legacy of Naomi Judd, will feature Martina McBride, Wynonna and Ashley McBride. The concert is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are still available, ranging from $36.50 to $519.50.

Naomi Judd died on April 30.

Superhero Day at The Country Apple Orchard

Spiderman

The Country Apple Orchard is calling on superheroes this weekend, as the business is scheduled to host Superhero Day.

There will also be photo opportunities with Spiderman, Batman and Ironman from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Country Apple Orchard is located at 27249 S.D. Hwy 15. Weekend general admission tickets are $14, and season passes are $35. Tickets can be purchased here.
