A vehicle hit a woman on Central Avenue near San Pablo Street NE, according to Albuquerque Police Department. The woman was transported to University of New Mexico Hospital and is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, according to APD. The woman was walking south across Central Avenue and was hit by the vehicle while not using a crosswalk. Speed and alcohol do not appear to have factored in the crash.APD's motor unit is investigating the crash.
