Be on the lookout Wednesday as the International Space Station will appear in our Arkansas skies.

According to NASA, the best time to see the ISS Wednesday night is at 7:44 p.m.

They said sightings are also possible on both Thursday and Friday, as well as on Oct. 18.

NASA said the space station looks like an airplane or a very bright star moving across the sky with no flashing lights or direction changes.

"Visible to the naked eye, it looks like a fast-moving plane only much higher and traveling thousands of miles an hour faster," NASA said on their website.

NASA said this is the optimum viewing period as the sun reflects off the space station and contrasts against the darker sky.
