The courtroom filled with tears when images of Kamille "Cupcake" McKinney's body were shown to the jury during the third day of trial in the federal kidnapping case against Patrick Stallworth.

The photos were shown during a testimony from FBI special agent Stanly Ruffin, who worked the case.

"I didn't know it was a body right away," Ruffin said. "I thought it was a doll lying there."

Pictures of the search were shown throughout the testimonies Wednesday. Images also showed what was found in Stallworth's apartment including the shirt police said Stallworth was wearing in surveillance video the day Cupcake was kidnapped.

"I was involved in 9/11 and thought it was the worst thing I've dealt with... until this," the agent later added.

Ruffin was just one of several people to take the stand during the trial's third day. Birmingham homicide detective Jonathan Ross also took the stand and his testimony lasted around two hours. Ross said over 1,000 people participated in the search efforts for Cupcake.

The jury got to listen to the four interviews of Stallworth and Ross said the only time the suspect made any admissions was after the body was recovered. During the cross-examination of Ross, the defense asked about Stallworth's emotion during the final interview when Stallworth appeared to be in tears.

In the recording of the interviews, the jury heard Stallworth blame his girlfriend, Derick Brown. Stallworth told detectives Brown wanted him to "touch the baby inappropriately" but he claimed he couldn't do it.

The prosecution pointed to Stallworth saying Brown was "an awesome mom and would never hurt a kid" during one of the interviews but after the body was found, Stallworth said it was Brown who killed Cupcake.

Sgt. Talana Brown, another detective on the case, spoke on the interviews with Stallworth's girlfriend and what she said which led to Cupcake's body being found.

Forensic pathologist Dr. Daniel Dye spoke on Cupcake's autopsy report. He said there were signs of injury sustained while Cupcake was still alive but there were no signs of sexual abuse. The toxicology report revealed methamphetamine and trazodone were in the child's system which Dye said is part of the reason for hear death.

This story will be updated as the third day of the trial continues Wednesday.
