SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Springfield Police are investigating a shooting in west-central Springfield.

This happened at about 3 p.m. Wednesday on South Nettleton Avenue and State Street, just southeast of the Kansas Expressway and Mt. Vernon Street intersection. Police said the shooting happened in the driveway of a home.

Police said the victim is in his late teens and the suspect is in their early 20s. We are working to learn how badly the victim was hurt. Police said they are still looking for the suspect as of 5 p.m. Wednesday, but officers believe the victim and the suspect knew each other.

A neighbor told Ozarks First that someone was taken away in an ambulance.
