Police: Las Vegas motorcyclist dies days after crash

A Las Vegas man has died from injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash, according to Metro Police.

Bailey Smith, 24, died Sept. 29 after a crash with an SUV days earlier on Flaming Road, west of Sandhill Road, police said.

The crash occurred about 4:35 a.m. on Sept. 23 when the SUV, heading east on Flamingo, attempted to change lanes and Smith’s motorcycle hit the rear of the vehicle, police said.

Smith was ejected from his motorcycle and taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The identity of the SUV driver is still unknown, police said.

The collision was classified as a hit-and-run and remains under investigation, police said.
