Heroes will continue to sail for free on a Florida-based Jimmy Buffett-themed cruise ship.

Last month, Margaritaville at Sea began offering first responders, military members and veterans, along with nurses and teachers free 3-day sailings from the Port of Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island.

“Within weeks of the launch, we were pleasantly surprised to see more than 30,000 Heroes and their guests rush to book their free cruise, but that filled nearly all available staterooms in the program through 2023,” said Kevin Sheehan, Jr., President and CEO of Margaritaville at Sea. “Now we’re able to continue supporting our Heroes, which is more deserved than ever, by welcoming them to always sail for free when traveling with a paying guest.”

The company says "heroes" will be able to sail free once per year.

Starting October 12, these same people will be offered a free cruise with a paying guest. In addition, Sheehan says there is still some limited availability for qualified Heroes sailing without a paying guest if they book by October 11.

The Margaritaville at Sea Paradise ship is described as a Margaritaville resort on the ocean.

Applicants must be qualified through the GovX platform.
