A Tallahassee teenager was arrested after he allegedly robbed a Hungry Howie's delivery driver at gunpoint last month.

The 16-year-old boy was charged Tuesday with attempted murder, armed robbery with a firearm, throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle and possession of a firearm by a minor, according to records filed in the 2nd Judicial Circuit of Florida

The Success Academy at Ghazvini Learning Center student also remains in the Leon County Detention Facility without bail.

The incident occurred Sept. 16 at The Meadows mobile home park, 3535 Roberts Avenue, off Jackson Bluff Road, according to court records.

When the delivery driver pulled into the park with two pizza pies totaling $26, she called the teen's phone and was told to meet outside the leasing office.

Once there, two males — one with a gun in-hand — "told her to put the pizzas on the ground," court records said. The driver told police that one of the males also asked for her "tip money and sodas."

Once in the car, she drove away instead of retrieving the demanded items.

The 16-year-old aimed and fired his gun at the Honda Civic while in the apartment complex parking lot, striking "the front windshield," court records said. An officer later said he saw a bullet hole in the front passenger side window.

The woman arrived at Hungry Howie's, 1944 W. Pensacola St., within a few minutes and called police.

During the investigation, "(the teen) admitted to the detective that he was the one in possession of the firearm and that when the driver left, he felt disrespected and shot up in the air," court records said.

On Sept. 29, State Attorney Jack Campbell's motion for jail custody was accepted by a Leon County judge.
