These Massachusetts communities have reported a surprising number of ghost sightings

LOWELL, Mass. — The odds of seeing a ghost in Massachusetts are surprisingly better than the odds of the Patriots winning their division this season.

Lowell is the “ghostliest” city in the Bay State, according to reports submitted to Ghosts of America and published by BetMassachusetts.com.

There have been 59 ghost sightings reported in the Mill City including at the Boott Cotton Mill, the Dr. An Wang Middle School, and the James S. Daley Middle School.

Residents of New Bedford have reported 54 ghost sightings, followed by 23 in North Attleboro, 22 in Ware, 22 in Chicopee, 20 in Malden, 20 in Danvers, 20 in Brockton, 19 in Whitman, and 19 in Orange.

A recent ghost sighting on Sept. 9 spooked a woman who was walking her dog near a graveyard on Oakland Street in Medway, according to a report submitted to Ghosts of America.

BetMassachusetts says it used Ghosts of America to compile the amount of ghost sightings across the state. After determining the number of sightings per city, analysts developed the chance and odds for ghost sightings in each city.

The odds of the Patriots emerging as AFC East champions is currently +6000, according to OddsChecker.
