Hocking Hills State Park's new lodge opens to visitors this Saturday

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — For the first time in over 30 years, Ohio has a new state park lodge!

The grand opening for The Hocking Hills Lodge and Conference Center will be held on Oct. 8. at 1:30 p.m.

The lodge is located on the same plot of land as the former Hockings Hills Lodge was before a fire burned it down in 2016.

The new facility has 81 guestrooms, indoor and outdoor pool areas, all-season hot tubs, a fitness center, grab & go café, gift shop, restaurant, and formal event space.

Matt Rapposelli, the chef from the previous lodge, will be featured at the Rock House Restaurant and Pub.

According to the lodge's website, reservations for the lodge and the cabins located on the ground are available now.
