The NYPD released video of the broad-daylight shooting Wednesday as they search for the gunman.
Police responding to a ShotSpotter activation near Gleason and Croes avenues in the Soundview section around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday didn’t find the gunman, but an investigation led them to video of the confrontation.
Police believe a man was walking down Croes Avenue when he was confronted by the gunman, who shot at him multiple times.
The two men then walked northbound on Croes Avenue to Gleason Avenue, where the gunman again fired at the man “numerous times.”
Video shows the targeted man dodging the gunman’s fire as he carries some sort of rod in the middle of the street.
It appears the man wasn’t struck, as police said no injuries had been reported.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
