Man shoots daughter's mom, duct tapes teen's arms together, locks him in shed, police say
SAN ANTONIO - A woman is recovering after being shot in the stomach by her daughter's boyfriend.
The shooting happened just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at a home off Fuente Alley near Clark Avenue and Highway 90 on the East Side.
Police say the incident started after the boyfriend moved in with his girlfriend at her parent's house. While the daughter was at work, her mother evicted the boyfriend.
That's when the suspect went into his room, grabbed a rifle and then shot the victim in the stomach. No other shots were fired.
Investigators then say the suspect duct taped the hands of a 17-year-old boy and locked him in backyard shed before taking off.
The suspect is still at large.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
