A favorite family-friendly autumn event will return to the Douglass Loop in the Highlands neighborhood after a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Belknap Fall Festival is set to take place Oct. 7-8 with loads of family-friendly activities, art booths and entertainment. Now in its 26th year, the festival boasts 40 artists, a live music stage, and plenty of fun things to do.

The two-day festival is open Friday, 6-11 p.m., and features music from Madman Across the Water, which covers Elton John hits, and beer from TEN20 Craft Brewery.

Saturday the event is held from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The music lineup includes School of Rock, Louisville Leopards Percussionists, Electric Garden and Mary Mary. That day also features 40 artist booths including feature paintings, woodworkers, jewelry, glass art and framed and unframed prints and photographs. There will also be 30 booths of local businesses and nonprofit organizations.
