(WLUK) -- Culver's is bringing back a menu item that started as just an April Fool's Day joke.
The Culver's CurderBurger is scheduled to return Oct. 12, just three days before National Cheese Curd Day.
The CurderBurger is more than just a typical ButterBurger from Culver's. It's a Wisconsin Cheese Curd Crown stacked on top of a Culver's Deluxe ButterBurger. Essentially, it has a second patty -- one completely made of melted, deep-fried cheese.
The last time the CurderBurger was on the menu was last October for National Cheese Curd Day. The company says its arrival sparked sales records at 20% of Culver's restaurants.
People took to Twitter Tuesday to express their excitement and even disbelief. But, no, it isn't just a rumor. The CurderBurger is already on the Culver's menu online.
The CurderBurger will be available through the end of the month or until supplies last.
