Gas prices decrease in Missouri over the last week, but increase in Iowa

Gas prices continue to surge nationally. In the last week, gas has increased by 8.4 cents on average to $3.79 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.

The average price for a gallon of gas in Missouri is $3.35. This price dropped nearly one cent since GasBuddy's last update last week.

Adair, Schuyler, Sullivan and Putnam counties all have an average price of $3.35 matching the state's median point.

Macon County is sitting ten cents over the state average at $3.45.


Iowa's average price per gallon this week is $3.66. That is 31 cents more than Missouri's. This median price point has increased 3.5 cents over the last seven days.

Van Buren and Davis County sit near the state average at $3.65.

Wapello County exceeds the state average, costing $3.69 per gallon.

Jefferson County offers the cheapest price point out of all of these Iowa counties at $3.54 per gallon.
