Restaurant set to open in Curry Ford West neighborhood

ORLANDO, Fla. – Chef John Collazo is getting ready to open up a new concept in Orlando’s Curry Ford West neighborhood.

Collazo, who owns Milk District staple Bad As’s Sandwich, is opening Bad As’s Burgers at 4205 Curry Ford Road — which used to house Kathi Rolls before it closed on May 27.

Collazo said he does not have an official opening date in mind, but he plans to open the doors of Bad As’s Burgers to friends and family by Friday. He then plans to open up to the public sometime next week.

Collazo first announced the opening of Bad As’s Burgers in a Facebook post on June 8.

In addition to his burger concept, Collazo is also planning to open a second location of Bad As’s Sandwich near SoDo. No opening date has been set for that restaurant.
