Visitor's took advantage of the pools as temperatures reached around 90 degrees Saturday.
The park underwent a multi-million dollar makeover that includes a new waterslide and improvements to the pools and boardwalk.
People who sat by the water say they're glad the park is back open to cool off.
"It's like a piece of heaven in Pittsburgh," park visitor Diane Dzurik said. "It really is, it's like going to the beach and it's right here in our back yard."
The Mon River flooded recently forcing the lazy river and the cliffhangers to close while the mess was cleaned up. But the park says those attractions will be open future weekends.
