Three injured in drive-by shooting in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WJAR) — Pawtucket police said three people were shot in a car on Prospect Street on Saturday night.

Officers were seen putting up crime scene tape and canvassing the area at about 6:30 p.m.

Two people who had been shot got out of the car and fled the area on foot.

The third person shot and one person who was uninjured tried to drive themselves to a hospital but stopped on Interstate 96 south, according to police.

All four people were later brought to a nearby hospital.

Police said those shot were a 26-year-old man, a 24 year-old man, and a 21-year-old woman. Their injuries are non-life threatening.

Police are investigating.
