Colonial Heights man killed in early morning motorcycle accident in southern end of city

COLONIAL HEIGHTS — A motorcyclist was killed early Saturday morning in an accident in a south Colonial Heights neighborhood.

The incident was reported around 2:15 a.m., Colonial Heights Acting Chief Rob Ruxer said. The rider, identified as Victor Glenn Toenniges, 64, of Colonial Heights, was westbound on Stuart Avenue when his bike hit two parked cars, eventually coming to a stop at the intersection of Stuart and Jefferson avenues.

Toenniges died at the scene.

The cause of the accident was not immediately disclosed. An investigation is continuing.
