Dundalk High School teacher charged with assaulting two students

Baltimore County Police have charged a teacher with assault.

Yesterday, police arrested and charged 30-year-old Andrew Rader. According to online court records, he faces two charges of second-degree assault from an incident in February.

FOX45 News initially investigated this case in April. At the time, the mother of the child said that the teacher's actions made her son so uncomfortable he skipped class.

"To me, that's not horseplay. That's assault," said Michelle Hinson at the time. "This type of behavior is not OK at all."

Baltimore County Police say they are continuing to investigate what happened and ask that anyone with information contact Baltimore County Police at 410-887-7720.

According to Baltimore County Public Schools, Rader was an art teacher at the school. He had been hired in August of 2021 and had been working there ever since, according to a letter sent to parents of the school.
