Basketball recruiting: Where 2022 players with Indiana ties are in final 247Sports rankings

The scouts at 247Sports unveiled their final national rankings for the 2022 basketball class this week. Arkansas recruit Nick Smith is No. 1, followed by three Duke recruits. Here is a look at where the players of local interest landed in the final rankings:

No. 21 – J.J. Starling, La Lumiere – The 6-4 native of Baldwinsville, N.Y., headlines an impressive recruiting class for Notre Dame coach Mike Brey.

No. 23 – Jalen Hood-Schifino, Montverde (Fla.) – The 6-5 guard figures to be an immediate impact player for Mike Woodson at Indiana.

No. 34 – Malik Reneau, Montverde (Fla.) – The 6-8 lefty forward committed to Indiana in April after pulling his commitment from Florida a month earlier.

No. 58 – Jalen Washington, Gary West Side – The 6-9 Washington, a North Carolina recruit, dropped a bit in the rankings due to injuries that kept him from playing full seasons every year except his junior season. Can he put it all together at North Carolina?

No. 68 – Kamari Lands, Hillcrest Prep (Ariz.) – The 6-8 Lands, an Indianapolis native, is headed to Louisville.

No. 77 – Kaleb Banks, Fayette County (Ga.) – The 6-8 forward committed to Indiana last spring over offers from Alabama, Georgia Tech and others.

No. 96 – Ven-Allen Lubin, Orlando Christian Prep – The 6-8 Lubin joins Starling to give Notre Dame two top-100 commits.

No. 107 – CJ Gunn, Lawrence North – The 6-5 Gunn committed to Indiana when Archie Miller was coach, then recommitted after Woodson was hired.

No. 109 – Fletcher Loyer, Homestead – The 6-4 Loyer is Purdue’s highest-ranked commitment in the class.

No. 127 – Camden Heide, Minneapolis – The 6-5 forward signed with Purdue over offers from Creighton, Iowa, Ohio State, Wisconsin and others.
