Rochester, N.Y. — The registered owner of the vehicle that was involved in a deadly hit-and-run back February has been arrested.

Police say after locating and impounded the vehicle that registered owner, Fatimah Holiday, 38, was not fully cooperative with investigators.

Holiday was later taken into custody on Tuesday, May 17th and has been charged with second-degree insurance fraud as well as hindering prosecution.

She was remanded to the Monroe County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning.

On February 6, 2022 just before 2:20 am, there was a minor two car motor vehicle accident at N. Winton Rd. and Blossom Rd.

Following the motor vehicle accident, 36-year old Richard Massey Jr., who was not involved in the accident, but knew one of the drivers involved, pulled over to the side of North Winton Road near Blossom Road.

Massey was checking on a driver involved in a minor crash when he was struck and killed by another car. That vehicle fled the scene.

The Major Crimes Unit is still looking to identify the person of interest (pictured below), who was inside the Blossom Road Pub on the evening of February 5th into the morning of February 6th.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at (585) 423-9300.
