NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Newport News police are investigating a shooting that happened Wednesday morning on Adams Drive.
According to police dispatch, the shooting happened around 4:43 a.m. in the 700 block of Adams Drive, off Jefferson Avenue and down the road from the police department.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a 32-year-old man with injuries believed to be non life-threatening.
Police said it appeared to be a domestic incident and a suspect has been identified. Charges were pending and police were not looking for other suspects.
