Alan Culpepper leaving UTEP track program

UTEP track's director of operations Alan Culpepper is leaving the program and returning to Colorado after one year with the program.

The two-time Olympian and arguably the greatest distance runner El Paso has produced joined the program in June and also worked as an assistant distance coach.

The 49-year-old Coronado alum won a national championship for the University of Colorado in the 5,000 meters in 1996.
